WHAT TIME WILL MY DOG BE PICKED UP?We request a two hour pick up window due to Los Angeles Traffic. Due to the variety of schedules and the fantastic traffic of LA, we request a 2-hour window for pickup. We try our best to pick up on a tight schedule.

WHAT VACCINATIONS DO YOU REQUIRE?All dogs hiking or boarding with Happy Dog Hiking are required to have current Rabies ( 1 year or 3 years), DHPP (1 year or 3 years), Bordatella (every 6 months injected) Leptospirosis and now K9 Influenza. Please provide veterinary info and paperwork at the time of dog evaluation. Expired paperwork is not accepted and will cause a reschedule. All dogs must be on a flea and tick preventive program. If your dog has fleas or ticks, we will bring your dog to a groomer for a flea and tick bath.

DOES MY DOG HAVE TO BE SPATED/NEUTERED TO PARTICIPATE AT HAPPY DOG HIKING?YES! All dogs 6 months or older are required to be spayed or neutered, for the safety of all our dogs, regardless of veterinary recommendations. Dogs under 16 weeks of age are not permitted to participate in Happy Dog Hiking.

CAN YOU BOARD A SICK DOG?For the health and safety of all dogs, we do not board or permit any animals with contagious illnesses or diseases.

HOW DO I PAY?Zelle, Paypal and Venmo.

DO I NEED A REGULAR SCHEDULE?A regular schedule is recommended. This helps with combining dogs with similar activity levels as well as scheduling and timing for pick up and delivery.

WHAT’S YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?24 Hours If you need to cancel service, please let us know the day before. This gives us time to reallocate that time slot to another dog. If you have to make a last-minute cancellation, please do so before 7 AM on the day of the scheduled visit. Cancels received after 7 AM the day of the visit will be charged with the full price of the visit.

DO YOU WALK DOGS INDIVIDUALLY OR IN A GROUP?Our hikes are in groups while our neighbourhood walks are individual or with a buddy or two.

LAST MINUTE REQUESTS?Call us and we will do our best to make it happen. The earlier the request, the better.

ARE WALKERS INSURED?Absolutely! We are insured and bonded with both Pet Sitters International and Insurers of the Carolinas.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET IN TOUCH?Call us (424 208 9366) within office hours 9 AM to 4 PM. Or you can always leave a text, we do our best to respond once we are done with the dogs.

DO YOU OFFER DOG TRAINING?We have a terrific source of dog training available, both in-home training as well as board and train.

PUPPY VISITS?This is what we do best! It is overwhelming when puppies first come home! It is a giant transition with lots of questions, vaccinations and adjustments. We are able to help all with play visits, puppy basics, socialization, positive reinforcement and lots of love!

WILL I WORK WITH THE SAME HIKER?YES! Your dog is family and it is so important to have the consistency to develop trust in your home and who cares for your dog. Our hikers have an area with specific dogs they see each day.

DO WE ADMINISTER MEDICATION?Yes! We are more than happy to give pills and topical medication.

CAN YOU FEED MY DOG?Sure! Please include feeding instructions in the email and leave food portioned in the designated area.

HOW DOES THE HIKER ACCESS MY HOME?Keys or keyless entry. A spare set of keys is the easiest.

DO YOU OFFER BOARDING & PET SITTING?Yes, both! We understand that there are times you have to be away. We are here to provide all the comforts of home and exercise during that time.
